Below we have listed the items you need to clean your gutter. We would recommend you get these gutter cleaning tools together before you start. That way you have everything you need, close to hand.

Gloves

– Gloves will help keep your hands clean as gutter cleaning can be a dirty job. The gloves will also protect you against any sharp twigs, thorns, metal pieces or screws in the gutters.

– By using a trowel or scoop you will save your hands from the dirt and grime. It will also protect your hands from injury. When cleaning out your gutters you’ll also find that by using a trowel or scoop you will get the job done quicker too. It’s just a case of scooping out the debris and dumping it.

– Use the rag to clean the outside of the gutter once you’ve cleaned that section of gutter. This is needed sometimes as when the gutter is full of debris it runs on the outside of the gutter.

– Safety glasses are great for keeping anything out of your eyes. The goggles will protect you from anything splashing in your face or something sharp flipping out of the gutter and damaging your eyes.

– By having a bucket to hand you will find cleaning out your gutter a much easier task. All you need to do is scoop the rubbish into your bucket then throw it away or use it as compost. You need to use a ladder bucket hook on your ladder to keep three points of contact on the ladder at all times
